We are very passionate about ensuring the safety of our employees at GB Bros.

The Safety of employees in a workplace is everybody's responsibility so we have divided the responsibilities of safely maintaining and operating our equipment on worksites accordingly.

EMPLOYEE SAFETY TRAINING

Our employees here at GB Bros. are trained and certified in a variety of programs, such as TDG, WHMIS, H2S Alive, IRP, First Aid, CPR, CSTS, and Respiratory Protection, and we set up mandatory training to revise these programs every six months. Alberta Human Resources and Employment has recognised us as “Partners in Health and Safety” for actively participating in and supporting government and industry safety initiatives. GB Bros. is a member of the Better Business Bureau, ISNetworld, and the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA). The Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) has registered us as a Partner in Compliance (PIC) carrier to haul hazardous materials. In addition to pre-employment drug tests and reference checks, GB Bros. comprehensive health & safety program includes a road test evaluation of employee driving and equipment operation skills.

HEALTH ANS SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (HSMS)

We have a Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) in effect developed especially to overcome our employees' time away from work may it be long or short term off duty. HSMS has a very positive influence on both the seller and the buyer. It has certain positive aspects such as

  • It is morally right to be actively involved in the health and safety of our employees.
  • HSMS training for our employees results in injury reduction on at-risk workplaces.
  • Both our employees and our contractors feel confident working together which increases satisfaction of work and is also responsible for increased productivity.
  • HSMS is also recognized by insurance and finance firms as a safety tool in building positive reputation.
  • It has aided us in maintaining a legislated compliance for our employees in obtaining their experience thoroughly.

GB Bros's management team stays up-to-date with the upgrades and changes to our HSMS policy that assists our employees in controlling and reducing incidental costs on our workplaces.
